AKSWYF VISITS FRSC, NSCDC PROPOSES REFLECTIVE JACKETS AND TAG NUMBER FOR OKADA RIDERS


The leadership of Akoko South West Youth Forum (AKSWYF) during their official visit to the offices of the FRSC and NSCDC on March 2nd, 2020 called for reflective jackets and tag numbers for each registered okada rider within the jurisprudence of the local government.

The President of the Forum Comrade. Ajayi Danjuma frowned at the rate of which criminal activities are being perpetrated by these unknown, strange okada riders, He states " We discovered that there are nee faces in our communities, some under the guise of motorist, while perpetrating evils ranting from robbery, kidnappings, rape and unlawful possession of firearms. We're sincerely not happy with this, we have advised our members not to resort to jungle justice by taking laws into their hands, but however, we want the combination of FRSC and NSCDC to take a proactive steps in curbing this ugly menace in our local government".

Mr. P. O Ologunye in his response appreciates the Forum for coming in a peaceful manner as against what was obtainable in time past. " I can assure you that with this development, we will synergize together to proffer a lasting solution to this criminal activities by some unknown okada riders in our communities.
We from FRSC will equally advise that a bigger meeting of this nature comes on board in no distance time, which will afford us the opportunity to meet the Kabyesis, Union leaders, Youth leaders and Community leaders for proper sensitization. He said.

The NSCDC representative calls for calm and advise on reporting issues surrounding civil security to their office without hesitation.

The visitation had in attendance the President of the forum, Comrade Ajayi Danjuma (Dan), BOT chairman and Akungba youth leader, Elder Rotoye,  Supare youth leader, Mr. Babamogba Roland, Oka youth leader, Mr. Olabode Adeniyi, others are Comrade Olushola O. Federal, Mr. Alo Oluwasola, Mr. Ogunleye Joshua, Mr. Akadiri Saheed, Mr. Abere Martins, Mr. Oriyomi Bukola and Mr. Aladetohun Richard.
