South Korean Ambassador to Nigeria, Mr. Lee In-tae, has canvassed support of Nigerian government for peace process between South and North Korea.
The envoy solicited public support of Nigerian government through President Muhammadu Buhari or his Minister for Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama.
According to him, considering the crucial place of Nigeria in the United Nations (UN), her position on the controversial Korean Peninsula would be taken seriously by parties involved in the negotiations.
Speaking on Friday in a meeting to highlight the current relationship between North and South Korea, the Ambassador expressed hope that the relative peace enjoyed by both countries since the peace initiative began would be sustained.
The envoy said lasting peace in Korea would be of immense benefit to Nigeria, as according to him, “atmosphere of peace will restore confidence of Nigerians living and doing business in Korea.
