HATRED+FEAR= UNJUST LAW

I was having a conversation(permit me to call it that) with a colleague of mine when  I expressed my disgust to the anti-gay law in Nigeria. He was able to damage himself and exhibit violent tendency that I know people like him already have.He said homosexuality affect the "spirit of Africanism" in him but I wonder why Christianity and Islam never affected him like that.An hypocritical position if I may say.
The fear of homosexuality is called homophobia and there is no doubt that an estimation of 95% of Nigerians are homophobic.Homophobia is observable in critical and hostile behavior such as discrimination and violence on the basis of sexual orientations that are non-heterosexual.The hatred and fear of gay people in Nigeria is a result of religion and the masquerade called culture.
The excuse religionists use is to put the concept of sexual orientation into the light of morality. They claim men sleeping with men is a result of immorality that has encompassed the world and the usual garbage of "endtime".But religion assertion is one that believes that its assertion can never be questioned because humans have lesser intelligence. But religion uses the evidence its made about itself to defend itself;so its shouldn't be taken seriously.
As for culture,it is the most hypocritical excuse that these people use whenever you have used science to trump the stance of religion concerning homosexuality."the oyinbo can do it but our culture does not allow such".A case of smh.....who culture don epp?....You mean you are trying to preserve the same culture that you have casted aside when you worship foreign gods, wear foreign cloths and speak foreign languages. No,culture is not an excuse. One also have to wonder why we have discontinued alot of cultural practices but some people  masquerade under some of these practices to defend their hate and fear.
It is interesting to know that our corruptible national assembly passed the anti gay law in a year not worthy of rememberance using scriptural quotations to back up their ignorance. What these people forgot is that before they are religious, they are Nigerians, they forgot that before these people are gay, they are Nigerians. So ask yourself, what should come first, representing the interest of Nigerians or representing the interest of god(s)? But of course the interest of Nigerians should come first, the case of god(s) should thus be a personal matter. The senators and representatives sworn to defend the interest of Nigerians;both the majority and the minority. The gay people here are in the minority and they have failed to defend their interest.
verdict:The anti-gay law is anti-human.It is also an unjust law.But an unjust law is no law at all..
