An aircraft in the fleet of Overland Airways has caught fire, reports said.
Our correspondent reported that the plane caught fire on Friday at one of the General Aviation Terminal hangars at the Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos.
Reports further said that the plane went up in flame while it was still connected to the Group Ground Power Unit of the local airport.
It was gathered that there was explosion as the aircraft burned, sending splinters all over the airport.
No one has been reported hurt.
Fire services successfully doused the fire, though the plane reportedly burnt beyond redemption.
As of the time of filing this report, the corporate affairs unit of the Overland Airways has not issued any statement concerning the fire incident.
