John Cena might quit wrestling very soon.
The popular wrestler was interviewed recently and he spoke about how his age has made him consider quitting wrestling soon.
"I feel the most healthy I've ever felt in my life," Cena began. "I dropped 20 pounds, I've learned some stretching techniques over in China, my body actually feels great. Full disclosure, I can’t run at the full demanding schedule, at 41-years-old, that current WWE superstars do,” he continued. "They go everyday, all the time, and it is a young man's game. And I think there's some folks out there that, certainly because of what I've said and done in the past, are like 'oh you're hypocritical.' I'm old guys, I'm old. I'm 41, and performing 310 times a year isn't what's best for my overall health. I want to be able to run the streets at 80, instead of hobbling around. So I'm at a point in my life where I gotta think a little bit more long term. That doesn't mean I'm leaving the WWE, I'll never leave the WWE, it's my home."
We've seen wrestlers quit wrestling but still work for the WWE in some official/administrative capacity so that might be what John Cena is planning to do.
