James Ibori has appeared before a court in the UK over a trial involving the confiscation of his assets.
Ibori who was released on Wednesday, December 21 after he was convicted of money-laundering was received by friends and members of his family.
Ibori was sentenced to 13-year imprisonment in the United Kingdom on corruption charges in April 17, 2012.
Cable reports that the former governor of Delta appeared on Friday, February 3 before Justice David Tomlinson of the Southwark Crown court.
There are indication that he may be forced to forfeit his assets valued at about £250 million which is about N95 billion.
