Fire razes Makoko area of Lagos

The Makoko plank market, a business but slum area in Lagos is on fire.

This is the second time within two years that fire incidents would be recorded in the area that houses a major plank market in the state.


In November 2015, the plank market was engulfed with goods worth several millions destroyed.

At the time of this report, the number of affected houses in the area are yet to be known, but it was learnt that men of the state fire service are being drafted to the scene.
