Ondo State Governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko, has said that the dream of his administration to build world-class facilities in the state has come to reality.
The facilities include the Public Service Training Institute in Ilara-Mokin, 35 “mega” schools across the state, and an ultramodern 18-hole golf course for the advancement of tourism.
According to a statement by the state’s Commissioner for Information, Mr. Kayode Akinmade, the projects due for inauguration under the operation tagged, “Legacy Projects Commissioning,” also include the International Event Centre, known as The Dome, in Akure, the state capital.
Mimiko, who led a delegation on an inspection tour of the facilities, said of the Public Service Training Institute as meant “for the public service of today and for the future,” noting that the institute would provide modern training for the state’s workforce.
Also speaking of The Dome, the governor noted that the event centre has three oval domes with full architecture and that the hall in each of the domes could sit up to 5,000 guests and hold three events simultaneously.
Other projects set to be inaugurated by the governor include the Ondo Township Stadium; the Chicken Processing Centre; the Trauma, Surgical and Kidney Care Centres and a Semi Mechanised Abattoir.
