It was all glare and fun serving humanity as RAC EKSU install its 31st President at the O'dua Hall on Saturday, 26th November, 2016. Dignitaries flocked the hall as Rotr Olayemi Alatishe received the mantle of leadership from IPP Babatunde Olugbenga. The event that started at about 11am and anchored by Rotr Soga was a worthwhile one. The house was called to order by the IPP Babatunde, National anthem and Rotaract Grace chorused by all before RAC AAUA president, Rotr Olorunfemi Sikemi took the 4-Way Test and indomie served all participants plates of indomie to show thier support for RAC EKSU after guests from Lagos, Ibadan, Osun and neighboring schools were duly recognised and welcomed.
The guest speaker, Mr. Victor Edafe Otoba, the Branch Manager, UBA EKSU, a past President of the club spoke on the topic: INVESTMENT STRATEGY AND ENTREPRENEURIAL INTELLIGENCE. "Save to invest, investigate before putting in your resources and sharpen your intelligence to develop your personal investment strategy; grab the opportunities and beat the difficulties. Invest in yourself and add value to the society" The chartered accountant who served as RAC EKSU president between 1999-2000 closed.
The event also witness the official merge of the RAC ISLT with RAC EKSU bend two IPPs (Rotr Ige Ezekiel and Rotr Babatunde) handed over to The all Star President Alatishe. Gracing the occasion, the Rotary President of Ado, Rtn Odekunle Ibukun Ayo-Ajayi, Rotr Adeojo Ayobami (State Rep Ondo/Ekiti), State Secretary, Rotr. Ajayi Bukola, past and serving office bearers from RAC EKSU, RAC AAUA, Rotaract Club of Ado, RAC ACE amongst all.
The 2011 club treasurer of Interact club of Mayflower school and 300 level student of economics in EKSU and now the ASP of RAC EKSU, Rotr the Olayemi Alatishe launched the donation of bedspread, mosquito nets, waste bins, wall clocks and also have in his project for the year inter faculty debate and paper presentation, EKSU directory map, cancer awareness seminar on campus that attracted the attention of PP Rotn Olowoyeye Ayorinde a. k.a. water who as an award recipient donated 4 waste bins and pledged to support the cancer seminar. Other awardees, Rotn. Ibitoye and Rotary President of Ado-Ekiti Also pledged their supports.
The 9-member BOD was inducted ando seven new members were inducted too as auction sales made the event more interesting.
Votes of Thanks was given by the ASP RAC EKSU and Vive le Rotaract chorused by all. The club meets on Wednesday 2:00 for 2:30pm at Old SUB.
